Room. We serve a traditional and healthy breakfast, stylistically
in tune with the simplicity of the house. Sugary carbs and
exotic concoctions (along with ruffles, knickknacks and Victorian
doodads) are not our way.
Guests can choose a light breakfast from the fruits, homemade
cereals, breads, yogurt and juices or follow up with the daily
‘special’, hot from the stove, one day savory
(perhaps a frittata), and the next day sweet (maybe French
toast with jam) for a more substantial start to the day. Where
possible, our kitchen uses organic products. Our eggs, fruit
and dairy as well as bread, when not home baked, are locally
sourced. In the evening the Dining Room can become the setting
for games and conversation or an anniversary dinner party
in front of the fire and the old piano, lovingly transported
across the Atlantic from the owners' home in England, invites
you to play.
